Our People

Meet the Hall brothers! Owners Nathan and Zach Hall have been surrounded by Chemwash for their entire lives. As their parents owned the business when they were growing up, the boys started working for Chemwash from a young age, helping out on weekends and in school holidays.

Out of high school however, they both took different career paths. Nathan became a qualified electrician, and Zach has a degree in Political Science. They’ve since taken over the family business, and are joined by an awesome team of local exterior cleaners.

Rotorua has always been home, so it’s no surprises they both settled down with local Rotorua ladies. Nathan and wife Tracey have two little girls, as do Zach and wife Chanel. When the boys aren’t busy being outnumbered by all the girls, you’ll find them on the golf course or the cricket fields playing for Rotorua Central Cricket, where Nathan is the current president. They love a good laugh, so if you see them around, be sure to come and have a chat!

Our History

Chemwash was originally formed in 1981, emerging as industry pioneers with a revolutionary new exterior cleaning technique: low pressure washing. The Chemwash low pressure system replaces high pressure water blasting, using a combination of non-poisonous and non-toxic detergents to do all of the ‘hard work’.

The main problem with high pressure water blasting is that it has a high risk of damaging surfaces. Despite this however, it is still used extensively by many exterior cleaning companies today. On the other hand, our specialised Chemwash system achieves great results with no risk of damage to your property.

Our detergents were developed by a leading industrial chemist, and are totally safe to use around buildings and houses. They are effective in the selective killing of mould, lichen and moss, while simultaneously cleaning away dirt and grime. Of course, our detergents are also made to be totally safe around people, pets and all general vegetation. Our company now continues to research and develop new products to meet current demands for safe & environmentally friendly products.
